I wear these shoes everyday. After moving
to San Francisco, and walking more than usual, I developed
plantar fasciitis and heel pain. I was wearing very old
tennis shoes that lacked support and motion control. My
Physical Therapist told me to get new shoes... These are
quite comfortable shoes. However, I don't feel that they
have enough arch support or motion control so I purchased
some insoles and that seems to help with the arch support.
I bought my first pair for a summer on the western slope of
the Rockies. Since then I have bought a couple of spares and
the more rugged and waterproof edition. They go from the
trail to the gym, which is important these days since we are
all packing less luggage, right? And the best thing about
them, besides being super comfortable is that your size in
Merrell will fit right every time. No worries about
returning an item because it "ran large/small". Merrell is a
great choice if you want to make your feet happy!
Comfortable from the get-go. I purchased to do my morning
walks in, but have ended up wearing these shoes throughout
the day because they feel so good on my feet and are so
stable. I plan to order more of the same shoe since I'll be
wearing them so much more than I originally anticipated.
I haven't worn an athletic shoe for a long time but when I
added going to the gym to my exercise routine I found I
needed a shoe with more support and shock absorbency when
working on the treadmill. After reading reviews of various
styles I chose these. I loved them from the minute I slipped
into the shoe and wear them much more than I had anticipated
for an everyday running around shoe. No break in time.
I bought a pair of Merrell Siren Sport 2 years ago for 7
days in Disney World knowing that we would walk a lot on hot
pavement and get wet feet. These were good for that trip and
I just bought a 2nd pair for a trip out west to do light
hiking with kids at National Parks. They are light and
breathable, not super cushy and I would not jog in these. I
normally wear 8.5 or 9 Med width in shoes and in these I
wear 9. There is a lot of room in the toe area and if you
have narrow feet, maybe too roomy. |
